The clown is a unique being.
Not because he is ‘funny’, but because he shows himself. The clown wears the smallest mask there is; the red nose.
It also wears a bigger mask; its character. Through this mask he thinks, feels, acts and shares his experiences with the audience. The clown opens himself and gives. And since the clown says YES to every situation and meeting, even when he is not absolutely sure how to deal with it or is scared to death, he will find through his character and clown-logic, unique (clown) solutions. Because of the circumstances and how the clown deals with them, humour appears and since the clown shares his being with us, we, being the audience, can identify ourselves with the clown and be touched.
